Sustainable Hydroponic Strawberry Cultivation: Green Rabit specializes in the cultivation, supply and distribution of fresh, farm-grown strawberries using advanced hydroponic techniques in a fully organic manner. At present, our unit at Dibrugarh (Assam) produces approximately 3 tonnes of strawberries per season, which have been widely appreciated by our customers for their quality and freshness. Our cultivation process is based on state-of-the-art vertical grow towers, ensuring efficient use of space and resources while eliminating the need for harmful inorganic pesticides. The hydroponic system at Green Rabit represents a sophisticated soil-less farming model, integrating the following components:

Hydroponic Growing System: Delivers nutrient-rich, oxygenated solutions directly to plant roots through grow towers and drip irrigation systems.

Ventilation & Air Circulation: Fans and exhaust systems ensuring airflow, CO₂ distribution and prevention of mold or fungal growth.

Nutrient Delivery System: Automated pumps and timers maintain precise pH levels for effective nutrient absorption.

RO Plant: A multi-stage reverse osmosis system ensures pure water supply, essential for nutrient absorption and plant health.

Future Upgrades

Looking ahead, Green Rabit plans to integrate Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology and IoT-enabled smart dashboards alongwith Artificial lighting, (such as LEDs that will supply the specific light spectra required for photosynthesis) into the hydroponic farming systems. This will create a fully automated, climate-controlled indoor facility, capable of year-round cultivation. The infusion of captured CO₂ into the system is expected to further enhance crop yields and quality thereby reducing the emission of CO₂ and carbon footprint. In parallel, we aim to conduct capacity-building workshops and training programs for Farmer Interest Groups (FIGs) and Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). These sessions will provide practical exposure to controlled environment hydroponics and carbon capture technologies, empowering farmers and agripreneurs with skills to adopt innovative, sustainable, and scalable farming models. Through these initiatives, Green Rabit seeks to strengthen food security, promote sustainable agriculture, and contribute to India’s Net-Zero Carbon goals while setting new benchmarks in modern farming practices.
